TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

In all games played rules and regulations from the Norwegian Basketball Association applies with the exception of the following:

TOURNAMENT FORM
In all classes with finals, (U13-U17) the teams are divided into pools of 3-4 teams, followed by playoffs. All teams progress from the pool play, and all teams are guaranteed 3 games.

In the U13 class, a cup is played with play-offs. Adaptation rules for the class U14 are used.

In the classes U8 MIX, U9, U10, U11 and U12, results are not recorded. No other activities are organized in connection with the matches other than the match itself. There are four players on the field. All players must have equal playing time.

In classes with equal prizes, the teams are divided into pools so that all teams get 4-5 games. Depending on registration, it may be appropriate to set up individual matches against teams in other pools.

GAME LENGHT
U8 MIX, U9, U10: 4x5 minutes of ineffective time. 1-minute break between periods.

U11 and U12: 6x4 minutes of ineffective time. 1 min break between periods.

U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17: 2x12 minutes effective time. 3 minutes break.

PERSONAL FOULS
U13-U17: a player will foul out after 4 personal fouls.

TEAM FOUL
In classes with 2x12 minute playing time, shots are practiced on the 8th team foul.

TIME-OUT
In classes with 2x12 minutes playing time, the teams are allowed 1 time-out per team per half.

OVERTIME
All extra periods last 3 minutes. Each team is allowed one time-out per extra period.

SHOOT CLOCK
In classes where the 24-second rule is used, this is administered by the referees.
The 24-second rule is used in all classes from U13.

PLAYING ELIGIBILITY
A player can only play for one team in the same age group (even if the club participates with multiple teams in that age group). It is allowed to play for multiple teams in other (older) age groups, but the game schedule will not take this into consideration.

TEAM ROOSTER
Team rooster are entered digitally on the team account by the teams themselves. The deadline is 1 week BEFORE the start of the tournament.

PROTESTS
In the event of a protest, a written protest must be delivered to the main secretariat no later than 20 minutes after the end of the match. A protest fee of NOK 1,000 is refunded if the protest is upheld. The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
